PublicSpeecher.com is a blog site, highlighting videos of humorous bloopers, gaffs, and goofs made by important people (politicians, reporters, etc.) who are supposed to come off as smooth public speakers, but often fall short, as well as other people who just publicly embarrass themselves when they attempt to speak. In short, a “Public Speecher” is a public speaker who forgot how to speak… publicly.

The site is actually inspired by a term used in dialogue of a famouse YouTube video, that was itself inspired by another famous YouTube video.

Below, is how the snowball that lead to the creation of this site began. I’d be shocked if you hadn’t already seen it, but it was Miss Teen South Carolina’s eloquent, frightening, heart wrenching, and other adjectives, “like such as”, answer to a question in the Miss Teen USA pageant:

Once the world was introduced to Miss Teen SC, Caitlin Upton, YouTubers (as always) began uploading their creative spoofs, and we were treated to the following gem from the hilarious folks at QuietLibrary.com

Miss Teen SC’s “father” from the video was proud of his daughter for being such a great “public speecher”, and the rest is history.
